Lion tattoos


 The lion tattoos is one of the most popular animals for people to get tattooed on their bodies, and they have been for centuries. The ordinary symbolism of the lion is royalty and self confidence. It once was, and still is in some cultures, viewed as a creature of aristocracy and law. In the past, the people of Asia got tattooed with lion images as a way to show that they are full of energy and very powerful. Although there are some women who choose this tattoo design, the lion is predominantly a male figure. However, some women do like getting tattoos of lion cartoon characters. When the Lion King came out, there was a burst in popularity of the lions depicted in the movie being tattooed on women.

Lion tattoos symbolize divine and solar power, royal authority, victory, fortitude, pride, nobility, cunning, strength, courage, justice and protection. The lion and the sword represents power in Islam. The lion is also a solar animal. This means that the lion has sun-like qualities and characteristics. In many culture and beliefs, the lion is associated with the sun. It is said the the lion's mane looks like the rays of the sun. You may notice that some lion tattoos have the lion's mane looking like the rays of the sun. A tattoo like this represents the lion's association with the sun. In other ancient myths, the lion represents the transformation and journey from childhood to adulthood.
